What’s For Dinner???
Leftover Turkey Noodle Soup
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Onion finely chopped
1 Carrot peeled and chopped
1 Celery rib chopped
8 Cups turkey or chicken broth
3 Cups cooked turkey chopped or shredded
½ teaspoon thyme
1 Bay leaf
8 oz wide egg noodles
Salt and pepper to taste
In a large pot heat olive oil over medium high heat and add onion, carrots and celery and cook until softened about 5 minutes. Stir in broth, turkey, thyme and bay leaf and bring to a simmer. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in noodles and cook until tender, about 5 minutes longer. Remove from heat and remove bay leaf then season with salt and pepper.
Did you know……..
Switch ceiling fans to winter rotation setting (usually clockwise) makes the room warmer.
Turn off outside water taps (usually in basement) to prevent water freezing in tap.

Draw and colour a scary Halloween picture. Mail or drop off your picture by October 20th, 2021 and we will draw for the best picture. Categories are age 4 and under; 5 – 8 and 9 – 12. Prizes will be a game/puzzle. Remember to give us your name; age; address and parent’s contact info. Have fun.
